Y6 Transition Week - Monday 15 to Friday 19 July 2019

We are delighted to welcome Year 6 to the academy starting on Monday 15 July at 8.25am prompt. Students will start in the Main Hall where they will meet the Principal, Mr Wappat and other key members of staff who will be supporting during the week, alongside our fantastic student ambassadors. More photos will appear here during the week.

We aim to reassure Year 6 during the week, as they get used to navigating the building, and understand the various arrangements in the mornings, at lunchtime and at breaks. Year 6 are on the same lunchtime arrangements as they will have in September, ie from 12.30-1.00pm, eating on their own whilst other students are in lessons. This ensures they are served dinners promptly, and have the entire dining hall and outside space to themselves.

Year 6 have also joined their new VMGs (‘Vertical Mentor Groups’) which consist of students from all year groups.
