Visitor parking is limited. Reserved spaces can be found by driving onto the school grounds and heading straight down towards the school entrance, near the mini-buses. All visitors should report to Reception.
There is limited space in our Car Park for parents to drop off students in the morning. Unfortunately, where parents arrive just before 8.20am to drop off their children, congestion occurs back onto Normanby Road. We are committed to our duty of care staffing zebra crossings outside school and within the grounds. It is always appreciated when parents instead drop off children some distance from school and encourage them to walk, or aim to arrive at school before 8.10am to avoid this congestion. Please do not drop or pick up your child by using the main driveway or parking along the edges of the driveway. Instead please drive straight down and into the visitor car park in front of Reception, or if full head left towards the staff car-park near the Sports Hall.
We strongly encourage students to cycle to the academy to reduce traffic, carbon footprints and be healthier. Students should cycle in a responsible manner, walk their bikes once on the school premises, but can cycle to the bike sheds once beyond the student entrance into the school. All students who cycle are required to complete an application form, signing up to our code of conduct, in order to receive a photocard cycle permit.
It is of course important that students with bikes ALWAYS bring a bike lock too please.
Application forms are available from Reception (and should be returned there completed), but can also be downloaded below too.
